Saturday evening May 8th, 2010 Baldwin Fire Department Dispatcher # 18 signed on the air with a General Alarm for multiple calls reporting a building fire at 773 Merrick Rd. Artriving companies found a large rubbish fire between two buildings. One 1 3/4 inch hand line was used to extinguish the fire and prevent it from entering either occupancy.
